📋 About the Role
We're looking for a part-time Shipper/Receiver to manage the flow of inbound and outbound shipments each morning — including domestic and international orders. This is a hands-on, independent role that keeps our operations moving smoothly and our customers happy.
You'll work mornings Monday through Friday — a consistent, stable schedule ideal for someone who values their afternoons and wants meaningful, engaging work in the hours they do put in.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- 1 Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- 2 Process and document all inbound and outbound freight accurately
- 3 Prepare outgoing packages — label, seal, and arrange courier pickups
- 4 Prepare and process international shipments — complete customs declarations, commercial invoices, and export documentation in compliance with CBSA and carrier requirements
- 5 Coordinate with international couriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) to ensure proper handling of cross-border orders, duties, and tariff classifications
- 6 Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse / receiving area
- 7 Coordinate with internal staff on order discrepancies or shortages
- 8 Track shipment status and update records / inventory as required
- 9 Handle returns and damaged goods according to company procedures
- 10 Ensure all products are stored properly and warehouse is shipment-ready
🎯 What We're Looking For
We're seeking a mature, experienced professional — someone who takes ownership and doesn't need hand-holding. The following are mandatory requirements, not preferences:
- TDG Certified — valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is required
- Licensed forklift operator — experienced operation of forklift and warehouse equipment, not entry level
- International shipping expertise — hands-on experience preparing customs declarations, commercial invoices, HS tariff classifications, export documentation, and CBSA compliance
- Courier & carrier experience — direct experience coordinating with FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight carriers for both domestic and cross-border shipments
- Solid shipping & receiving background — verifying orders, managing inbound/outbound freight, resolving discrepancies
- Highly detail-oriented — accuracy with paperwork and documentation is essential in our regulated environment
- Dependable and punctual — our mornings run on a schedule
- Works well independently without close supervision
